About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

If voice service is not needed, is this a good plan to go with?

Verizon offers a Global Data Plan for cell phone use in China (data only, no voice). It provides 100 MB of data for $25 and automatically replenishes your data at the same rate of 100 MB for $25.

Don, 25 USD equals around 153 RMB. If Verizon replenishes you 100 RMB, then you pay around CNY 53 for 100 MB. I think it's expensive. You may buy a sim card when you arrive in China. You can use 50 RMB to get more than 100MB.
