Travelling method around Hualien and Nantou area

Hi,

I am travelling free and easy to these both place. However, read from some blogs that it will be hard to travel around the places by own especially in Hualien. Is that true or I really need to book some taxi or van to move around these 2 places?

Yes, it is right. If you travel these two places on your own, it will be difficult. So you are suggested to take the taxis to go around. There is no need to book in advance, you cna easily get the taxi.

meaning i can easily find taxi to travel around when i reach the area? will it be expensive? i am travelling in couple.
