My daughter is on her way to shangri-la, asking if she will be able to exchange money there? Where?

oh, don't worry about that. She can easily exchange foreign currency to Cchinese yuan in the airport.

Or, after arriving, your daughter can go to the branches of Bank of China to have a try!
