About:Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station

Hangzhou to Shanghai

How can I book a return ticket from Hangzhou to Shanghai and back from Shanghai to Hangzhou. In order to catch my flight in Hangzhou International airport at 1420hr what time must I leave Shanghai hotel (near people square subway).

It will take you about 1 hour to get to the Shanghai Hongqiao station, and 1 to 2 hours by rail from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Then about 2 hours from the station to airport. Usually it woul d be better if you can arrive the airport 2 hours in advance. Thus you 'e better departs around 7am in the morning from hotel.

Hi Kim,

Thank you for you prompt reply. If my flight departure time is 1605hr that mean I need to leave my hotel by 0900hr. Will it be better for us to cut short my stay in Shanghai by 1 day and move to Hangzhou one day earlier in this way I do not need to rush for my flight. If yes is there any good hotel which is near to Hangzhou airport where I can stay one night. I can also do some last min shopping and food for my family.

If it is possible, you can back to Shanghai half day before your original plan. You can choose to departs from Shanghai in the afternoon and arrive Hangzhou in evening. Then you can have a good rest and using the rest time for shopping.
