There is a long distance between the two cities. Apart from airplane, bullet train shall be the best method to use. However, it is generally a little hard to join a group tour for the train journey. If you wanna take a group tour in Shanghai, TravelChinaGuide would help. I joined one through them and we had seven tourists in our groups.
