document/travel permit required for taiwan, r.o.c. passport holder‏

Question

To whom it may concern,I'm planning to travel to China in December to visit my brother who is currently working in China and also visiting some cities in China.I will be entering China via Hong Kong as the flight is scheduled from Melbourne to Hong Kong first. Once I've visit my brother in China I will return back to Hong Kong for a period of time then re-entre China for further travel.I'm currently holding Taiwan, R.O.C. passport and an Australian Permanent Visa.Please kindly let me know what kind type and travel permit I should apply and prepare in Australia before I depart to Hong Kong in December. Also, please let me know if the information on process of the application of travel permit required can be found on your website, if not, can you please forward detailed information/documents required for the application as well?Thanks very much in advance.Kind regards,Amy

For HK, no permit is required. You just need to do a pre-arrival registration on the official website of HK Immigration. After the registration, you can enjoy a 30-day free entry to HK. Do you have a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents? If you have it, you even do not need to register. You can enjoy a 30-day free entry to visit HK using your travel permit. For entering mainland China, you need to have the travel permit with a stramp in advance in your local Chinese embassy/consulate. For getting a register, you need to prepare an application form, two photos, your Taiwan passport, your permanent visa for Australia and your Mailand Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. For more details, you need to find more infomation on the official website of Chinese embassy in Australia.
