Although it will get cold then, but there will be many sunny days. You can still enjoy the clear sky and nice scenery there. The fresh air and friendly residents are very welcoming. For attraction, I would recommend Baishuitai. Apart from that, the Lijiang Ancient Town and Shuhe Old Town are also worth your time. As you are with old people, remember to rent a car to avoid too much walking.
