About:Chinese Zodiac

hi I would like to find out whether I'm a tiger or rabbit.

Basically I was born on the 28th january 1999. I understand how the chinese years work, so I'm an 'earth tiger'. Yet my personality matches the description of the rabbit. Why is that so? Does the year you were born in have an equal effect on your personality? I'm not much of a tiger. I'. A number 3 and a aquarius. Thank you
