Is 72 Hour Visa available for Shanghai? Is it easy to get in the airport?

Will airlines know of the validity of the 72 hour free transit?

Yes, it is available for Shanghai. It is very easy to get out of the airport after showing your valid passport as well as your onward ticket to leave for a third country.
Most of the airlines know this policy.
