Dear Sir/Madam, I will be arriving in Shanghai (PVG) on Thursday 6 Nov 2014 at 14:15 PM and will be leaving Shanghai (the same airport PVG) on sunday 9 Nov 2014 at 10:55 AM, do I need a Transit G? Or Can I have a 72 hour free transit in China ?  Many thanks for your answer

The Transit G is not needed, since the 72 hours are counted from 00:00 Nov 7 at PVG and your time is less than 72 hours. Therefore, you can enjoy the transit to stay in Shanghai.
