Hi, Henry.
If you have a resident permit, usually, the duration of stay will be longer than 180 days. People need to apply for a resident permit if they want to stay for a long time in China.

May I know what type do you have? If you have other types without a resident permit, you cannot stay in China for over 180 days each time.
