Do you need a visa to enter Hong Kong as an US citizen

Flying from US to Beijing for 3 days and than onto HongKong

If your staying time in Beijing is no more than 72 hours, you do not need it. Otherwise, you may need to have a single entry Tourist L for visiting Beijing.

For HK, it is not needed if you stay in HK for less than 90 days.
