About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Married to Chinese woman in the U.S and wish to live in China

My wife is from China (Dalian) and we were married in the U.S 2 years ago. We have been living in China with me staying on a working Z but would like to apply for our marriage visa.

How long will I be able to stay with that one and how difficult is the application process? I'm going back to the U.S to visit family in a week and would love to get all of the paperwork done.

Thank you so much!

You may want to apply one for staying in China for a long time but do not want to work any more right?

If you just want to stay with your wife in China without working, you can try to apply for a Q1. With it, you can stay for more than 180 days. The application process is not difficult. You just need to use your valid passport, an application form with a recent taken photo, an invitation letter your wife issued to you, copy of your wife's ID card and your marriage certificate.
