Should a moon cake be eaten cold or warm?

I was given a moon cake with egg in the center and was told to refrigerate. Should it be heated before eating? The egg was hard.

Sandra, there is no need to heat it before eating. Putting in the fridge is to ensure that mooncakes can be kept for longer time. If you feel that mooncakes are too cold to eat, you may take them out, wait for 30 to 60 minutes and then eat them. By the way, you needn't put them in the ice box.
