About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

How flexible is the 72-hour window?

I'm arriving at 7 a.m. on a Tuesday, and departing at 10 a.m. on Friday. Will the extra 3 hours mean I need to apply for a visa?

It may mean that. In Beijing airport, the 72 hours starts to count from the arrival of your flight. So if your total time is over 72 hours, you may need to apply for a Transit G type.
