About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

Simcard for long distance and internet connection

I'll be in China in different 4 cities for 10 days and my first dropping is at Beijing. Can I use single card from Beijing to make long distance call with same rate at different city? Should I buy new simcard every time arrive at different city to avoid roaming between city? Please suggest better provider with cheaper rate and good internet connection for China simcard. My phone is GSM and support 3G. Thanks

If your phone is GSM mode, I think you need to use China Mobile's sim card. It's ok to use Beijing China Mobile simcard everywhere in China. However, you will be charged with roaming fees. Yes, it's cheaper to buy simcard in different cities but it's troublesome. You may buy China Mobile's 全球通 packages. It allows you to make calls in different cities at cheaper cost.

Can I use your recommend simcard "China Mobile's 全球通 packages" to make IDD call ? I need to call to Indonesia.

You can do that with the package. When you buy the card, you can ask the staff to activate the IDD call service of your card. After that you can make international calls. It should be remember that the fee may be high if call directly.
