About:Mount Huashan

Hotel or hostel on huashan

Hi! Im planning to visit the mountain next week monday and tues. I need a place to stay in preferably withing the area. And do i need a guide for me to climb? Or most can do it alone?

Hi, it is fine to trek on your own without a guide for the signages on the mountain are very clear and they are marked in Chinese and English. But the accommodation on the top of the mountain usually charges high. If you wanna save money, it is also allowed to camp on the mountain.

There are many hostels and hotels at the foot of the mountain, but they are outside the scenic area. To reenter the mountain, you have to buy another entrance ticket, so it is not a good choice.

I know some visitors also stay in the Zhenyue Palace or Maonv Cave, which relatively charges low. Besides, there are other small accommodations to choose within the scenic area, but I forget their names. You can choose a suitable one to check in. Don't worry!

oh thank you! i will do it by myself then. how about accommodation down the mountain? are there good rate hotel there? what can you recommend? or it is not recommended to stay down there?
