Can the same Chinese SIM phone card be used in mainland China and Hong Kong?

Yes, you can use it in both areas. But I suggest you buy another one in HK because you need to pay very expensive international romaing fee if you use Chinese sim card in HK.0

Yes, buy a China Mobile SIM card in Shenzhen and it can also be used in Hong Kong by sending a SMS stating BLHKRTC to 10086 before crossing the border to Hong Kong; then send SMS QXHKRTC when you return to Shenzhen to terminate the service.........it costs 2.89 RMB daily to activate and .39 RMB per minute to call Shenzhen from Hong Kong0
