About:Yunnan Travel

Travel from Yunnan Shangari-la to Daocheng Yading during December winter.

May i know during December winter

1. the road is open or close start from shangri-la bus stop to Daocheng Yading bus stop in Sichuan?

2.Is there any local bus from shangri-la bus stop to Daoheng Yading station during Disember winter?


3.How long the journey will take ?

4.Is that difficult to take local bus from above destination because the condition is not good during Dec.?

5.Is that ok to take local bus from Shangri-la to Daocheng Yading during Dec. winter ?

any suggestion of this trip? hope get some help on this matter

1. I heard the road for this road would be closed in Dec. Also it is not a good season to visit Daocheng Yading. Most hotels or hostels would close then.
2. It's said that the bus shall stop operating in Dec., but I am not sure. You'd better further consult this.
3. No direct bus service is available on common days. You should take a bus from Shangri-la to Daocheng first in 10 hours and then transfer to another one to Yading in 2-3 hours.
4 and 5. Yes, it is hard to catch public bus to travel. If possible, I suggest you change your plan to the next Spring.

As I told you that the road may be closed in winter, it is hardly possible for private car to travel, so it is highly recommended to change your plan.
