About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Need to check in hotel or register police station when only stay 10 hours sightseeing?

my flightplan is brussels-beijing-bangkok with a transit time of 10 hours in beijing.
i want to use the 72 hours free transit policy to do some sightseeing in the city,. do i need to tell the airline in front and is
it needed to pass a police station to register for this short stop or need to check in a hotel even if i wil not use the room?

It is not needed to tell the airline in advance if you will transit in Beijing.
If you just stay for ten hours, it is not need to register at the local police office.
