Terra cotta tomb in Xian

how do tombs of other rulers helped illuminate the function of the warriors in shihuangdi's tomb? how did he view of human life overtime?

Actually, the function of the warriors in Shihuangdi' tomb was speculated according to the history materials, not strictly based on the tombs of other rulers.

By saying "how did he view of human life overtime", do you refer to Qinshihuang? If so, we don't know the exact answer, but as the first emepror in Chinese history, I believe he wanted to be remembered for long so these warriors were made.

The reason Qinshihuang, or Shihuangdi, ordered servants to create the terracotta warriors and place them in his tomb was because he believed that there would be ghosts and other creatures that would harm him in the afterlife. He believed that the terracotta warriors would protect him as an army in the afterlife.
