About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

My Name is Harry Gunawan, holding US passport and curently visiting Jakarta,Indonesia.

I have a plan to go to Shanghai with my Indonesian friend, and continue our trip to Hong Kong, and then back to Jakarta, Will the 72 hours transit visa applicable in my case? Thank you

Yes, your trip can enjoy the 72-hour free transit. You need to tell the airline that you want to enjoy the policy when boarding. Then at the free transit counter in the airport, you can get a stay permit to leave the airport with your valid passport and flight ticket to HK.
