possibility of getting the tourist visa for my daughter with passport valid till nov'14

Question

We are planning to visit China towards end of this month. We are two families. My daughter's passport is valid till nov'14. We are planning ~10 days tour to China. If i apply for renewal of passport now then it may take more than a month and in this case we will have to drop the idea to travel.Pls confirm if I can go ahead and apply for my daughter. I am a frequent traveler to China.

According to Chinese embassy, the applicant's passport must be valid for at least six months and have at least two blank pages. In your daughter's situation, I am afraid that she may not acquire the L type if she doesn't renew her passport.
