About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

What happens if it turns out to be 73 hours

My plane arrives at 14:10 and I would like to take a 15:10 flight 73 hours later. Is that going to be a problem given the time are touch down and take off. And what if the planes are delayed

It may not be a problems in some airports. For some airports such as Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, etc, the 72 hours start from the 00:00 the next day after you enter China. If you transit in these airports, it is not a problem.
If not, you are suggested to contact the immigration in the airport for asking directly.
