About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

is 72 h visa possible in a town on a connecting flight ?

Is it possible to fly from tokyo to beijing on a connecting flight in shangai and stop 72 hours in beijing before going to dubai and obtain the 72 hours free entry permit?

You mean you will fly from Tokyo - Shanghai (transfering) - Beijing (72 hours) - Dubai?
If so, you cannot get the entry permit, since you land in China twice, Shanghai and Beijing. You need to apply for a Transit G type for making your transfering.
