About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

i want to visit friend in beijing, can i use the 72 hour visa free?

I am a new zealand passport holder and would like to visit friend in beijing for 2 and a half days.
Flight will be AUCKLAND - HONG KONG - BEIJING - HONG KONG - AUCKLAND; is this permissable?

If you fly as your mentioned, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit, because you are from HK and back to HK. That policy is only available transit to a third country via China. For example, if you fly HK - Beijing - Auckland, you can enjoy the 72-hour free transit.
