About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

Pingyao to Huashan. Possible to get sleeper tickets for a group? Any alternatives?

From Pingyao to Huashan can I get sleeper? Or must I buy the ticket, Taiyuan to Huashan but board the train in Pingyao?

it is not easy to get a sleeper ticket from Pingyao, so I suggest that you go from Taiyuan.
Alternatively, there are bullet trains from Pingyao to Xian, and also Xian to Huashan, so you may consider to travel by the high-speed rail.
