About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does anyone know what would happen if you cannot register at a police station after in China?

I have a relative arriving on a Saturday night and leaving Monday night.
They are staying at my apartment, not at a hotel - so I know we would have to register them at a Police station, but my local one does not issue those foreigner documents on weekends - I've tried and they tell me to come back on weekday - so it's almost unachievable. What would happen if we cannot register?

If you just leave one night in China and leave China on the next day, it does not matter if you do not register in local PSB. Please do not worry about it.
