About:Power Plugs / Sockets in China

240 V and 1400-1600W appliance to use in china

where can I buy a step down tranformer to use my 240 V appliance in china ? and do I need to use any adapter to use my 1400W hair dryer in china?

A step down transformer is needed. According to what I know, three-pin plugs used in China and Australia are the same. The two-pin plug used in Australia can be plugged into the three-pin plugs in China. So I don't think you need to take an adapter. By the way, it's easy to buy the adapter from the supermarkets in China.

You do not need a step-down transformer in China. They also used 220v. you will only need an adapter from UK to AU/NZ/China
