Possibility to change X2 Visa when expired to L type

Currently I'm having a X2 Student one and I'm leaving 26-08 and I will stay till 17-02 next year to study at the Beijing University of Technology. I just collected my student one and it stated that the 'duration of each stay' is 150 days. This is correct according to the university's schedule but I have the intention to stay 30 more days to travel around China. Is it possible to change my X2 one to the L one when the first one almost expires? And is it possible to do that without leaving China?

Thank you very much in advance.

Martin

You cannot change your X2 to a L when your X2 almost expires within China if you apply in your own.
It is suggested to take time to visit around China during your studying in China, or you can try to find a local tour agency to help you to apply one in China. It is reminded that applying through a tour agency may be a little bit expensive.

Oh okay thank you! I'm staying at the BJUT, aren't they able to get me a L type when the school semester ends?

It is not assured that whether your school can help you to get it, so you may need to consult the school.
Usually, the school will not do that for an internation student.
