About:Chinese Embassy in Italy

I will be travelling in Italy for a month in Sep.. Can I apply while there for a visa for China?

You can try, but it is not assured that you can get it in the end, since you may not provide your working or resident permit.

The valid of Chinese visa is three monthes, so if time is possible, it is suggested to apply in your own country to make sure that you can get it in the end smoothly.
