No appointments left in London

My girlfriend and I leave the UK 29/08/14 to go travelling for 4 months across Asia. We have a rough idea of when we will be entering China, but have not yet booked flights in and out of China, or Hotels! As we want to be flexible with dates.

Out of curiosity I looked at the next available appointment with the CVSAC(London) and the next available appointment is 27/08/14! Which is 2 days before we set off for our travels!

Is there any other way my girlfriend and I can get a Chinese tourist L? Perhaps in another Asian country whilst travelling?
