Chance for a job overseas

I am a DOG (born Nov. 9,1958) my husband was born Feb. 4, 1962. Our financial situation is not good. I have been offered a job overseas by a family member and am inclined to take it. But the visa process will take time. Should I even try? If I go my husband won't be able to go with me due to his aging mom's situation.
