About:How to Buy Tickets

Peak season train travel, use of credit cards

We are traveling from Honzhou to Shanghai during summer holiday. Is it likely that tickets will sell out? Will we be okay buying tickets at the railway station?

Does the railway station take credit cards?

What is your travel date? Chinese railway tickets are put on sale 20 days in advances, and some will be soon sold out, especially the hot routes in peak seasons.
There are many bullet trains from Hangzhou to shanghai daily, but you may not able to get ticket for your scheduled time, so i suggest that you book at least one day before departure. you can book the tickets at any railway station in Hangzhou. You'd better prepare some cash in RMB, foreign credit cards are usually not accepted.
