Leo and Aquarius, how compatible are we really?

I am a Leo (August 2) and my boyfriend is an Aquarius (February 17). I've read that those 2 signs aren't a very good couple, but we have been dating for almost 2 years and are going strong. Plus we want a family together in the future. Are we a good match to have children? I know that we are in love but sometimes we doubt ourselves. So I am just not sure anymore..
