Mainland China to Hong Kong?

If you have a single-entry visa to the mainland, is there a permit that allows you to visit Hong Kong and return to mainland China? Can you go from Shenzhen to Hong Kong and back to Shenzhen?

Sorry, you'd better apply for a double entry one if you plan to visit HK during your stay in mainland China.
