About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Multi-Country Trip, qualified for the 72-hour free transit?

I am flying from Los Angeles to Shanghai and leaving within the 72 hours to fly to Thailand. I will then fly to Hong Kong. From Hong Kong, I will fly back to Shanghai and then depart Shanghai to Los Angeles (again, within the 72 hour period). Do I qualify for the 72-hour free Transit for both stays in Shanghai?

Both of your stopovers in Shanghai are qualified for the 72-hour free transit. It is suggested to provide your onward flight tickets and your passport when passing the immigration to get a stay permit stamp.
