golden week - from october 1stseptember 27th?

Question

Hi, I would like to know WHEN EXACTLY may tourist expect crowds related to Chinese Golden Week. If Chinese people take free days at work on Monday and Tuesday, crowds may appear even on Saturday, September the 27th.. Do I suppose correctly ? So it/s better to avoid travelling five days before October 1st !!!Piotr from POLAND

Golden week starts from Oct. 1 to 7. However, tourists may get out on September 29 and 30. There won't be too many tourists on September 27.
