i want to take the train from hong kong to shanghai on feb 16, 2015 how can i buy tickets

We arrive in Hong Kong on Feb 14th.  We want to take the train to Shanghai on Feb 16th.  Given the holiday period 2 days is probably not enough advance time to purchase ticket.  Is there any way to purchase online or secure the services of a third party to purchase a head of time.  Alternatively, we will be in Beijing on January 26th.  Can we purchase the tickets then or have our tour agent in Beijing purchase them for us.Thank you,Pamela

Feb.16 is two days before the Chinese Spring Festival, so the ticket will be not easy to book. the ticket can be booked 60 days in advance, and you can buy the ticket at the railway station in Hong Kong or book with an agent. so I suggest that you book 2 - 3 months in advance with an agency (this website provide the booking service). Also, the train from Hong Kong to Shanghai runs every other day, and the schedule of 2015 is not released yet, so you'd better check the schedule in November.
