Travel Problems During Golden Week in October

We are taking a cruise from the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal departing during the Golden Week holiday. We will be staying at the Hyatt on the Bund. I understand traffic during this holiday is terrible and that almost everyone takes the week off from work. Will it be a big problem for us to get from the hotel to the ship because of traffic and perhaps very few taxis? Public transportation is not possible as we will have a lot of luggage. Also we will be arriving at PVG airport two days prior, but also during the Golden Week. Will it be very difficult to get to the hotel because of traffic and possible lack of taxis ?

Don't be too nervous. Taxi can be easily caught even during the holiday and things are not that bad as you imagine. Anyway, if you are still afraid of any transportation problem, I suggest you reserve the pick-up and see-off service in case. If needed, I know this website happens to have this service. And their email address is bookingtravelchinaguide.com
Good luck.
