best way to visit hk down town from dongguan for a day trip?

What is the best way for a days's trip to HK down town from DG (south China International Hotel at Dong CHeng Road).  Also, I have multiple entry visa to China, is this enough or do I need a separate visa for Hong Kong.

You can take the through trains in Changping Railway Station to Hung Hom Station in Hong Kong directly. If you stay in HK less than 14 days, you don’t need a separate visa. Just take your passport with you.
