About:Leshan Giant Buddha

Giant Buddha one day in Leshan

I'm arriving at Chengdu Station at 11:50 is it possible to do the Buddha the same day and come back to Chengdu for the night? What would be the best way to do it?

Half day is not enough for that, for both go and back trip take 3 - 4 hours. You can choose to visit it in the next day.
