About:Lantau Island

Tourist Attraction near Hong Kong Airport

I have 8hrs layover in HK and I want to visit places which is near theairport. And this is my first time to visit. Can somebody recommend the places and how to go there and back to airport.

You can go to the Disneyland Resort. Take the Airport Express and get off at the Tsing Yi Station. Then transfer to Tung Chung Line and get off at the Sunny Bay Station. Afterwards, transfer to Disneyland Resort Line to the destination. If you are pressed for time for the back trip, just take a taxi and it costs 100-110HKD.

Or you can go to Citygate near Tung Chung MTR station, which can be reached by airport shuttle bus line S1. There are many branded clothes or shoes with great discount to attract many people.

If you are interested, take this bus to Tung Chung station and then walk around 5min to Ngoing Ping cable car to see the Gaint Buddha and Po Lin Monastery.
