Fastest public transport to Huogong Palace

Hello,
I have a 8.5h transit at the airport and would like to go Downtown to see a bit. What is the fastest public transport to Huogong Palace or Wuyi Park?
Thanks!

Ideally I would like to see Mt. Yuelu. Do I have enough time when taking public transport and how do I get there?
Thanks!

Yes, you will have time to Mt. Yuelu. Take airport shuttle bus to South Railway Station and then transfer to local subway line 2 to Ringwanzhen. After that, u can easily walk to the scenic area. After visiting, if your time is enough, you can take the same way back; if time is tight, I suggest you take a taxi to the airport.

By saying Wuyi Park, I presume you refer to Wuyi Square and you wanna go to the nearby Huogong Palace, right? Well then, use the same way above to get off at Wuyi Square of subway line 2 to walk to your destination for fun.

The duration of the airport shuttle bus is 35-40min by the way~~

Thank you Emma! This sounds very reassuring.
Do the busses have any number or what is the best way to identify them?
Same for metro: Do I need chinese letters or will the final destination of the trains be also written in latin?
Thanks!

I remember the airport shuttle bus doesn't have a specific number, but on the head of it, you can see four Chinese characters: 机场快线.

The metro stations are written both in Chinese characters and letters. The stations are not professionally translated to English, so you'd better know the Chinese letters.

BTW, I made a typo. Actually, you should get off at Rong Wan Zhen station of subway line 2 instead of Ringwanzhen.

Thanks again!

I just realize again how hard chinese characters are...

It's strange that on wikipedia. the station seems to be called Yingwanzhen. But I guess this is just an other translation.

Well you are very helpful! :)

Did anybody (preferably from Germany/EU) try to get out of the airport with a transit time below 72hours? Does it work at CS? It did for me in CAN (Guangzhou) but it seems it's not that easy everywhere....
