About:Yuntai Mountain

Best way to visit Yuntai

Hello,
I would love to go and visit all of the scenic areas around the mountain.
Am I right that if you get the on of the buses mentioned on this page, from where they take you, you can visit all of the different scenic spots - eg Redstone Gorge.
If one has the choice, would you recommend going straight from Zhengzhou, or going to Jiaozuo first.

First of all, I wanna tell you that JZ is much closer to the scenic area than Zhengzhou.

By taking bus no. 3 near the train station, you need get off at Fangzhuang. Then take a taxi to the mountain scenic area at the cost of CNY15. Then you can start your exploration with it.

I am only there for a few days. Since it is more difficult for me to get to Jiaozuo, is it a feasible day trip to go to the scenic spot from zhengzhou?

Yes, you will make it departing from Zhengzhou. There are two direct buses at the bus station near local railway station to the mountain. Apart from that, at Zhengzhou Long-distance New North Bus Station (郑州长途汽车新北站), there are direct tourism buses to your destination and the first bus leaves at 08:00. It takes around two hours by the way.
