i will be having my 2014 leave in December, this year i want to visit china for three weeks during my leave and i don't know any body there in china that will send me invitation letter. is it possible to make this trip. if yes what type of document should i present to make this trip happen

The invitation letter is not necessary. If you can provide your round trip tickets to China, hotel booking comformation letter in China, your routes arrange etc, together with your passport in valid, application form with recent taken photo, you can apply for a single entry L type to visit China.

In fact, you can download the application form from the top of the webpage of Chinese embassy in Sierra Leone. You need to submit your application to the embassy directly. There is no online application service. If you can't go there, please ask your friends or families to submit your application and pay the fee to the embassy.

Thanks once your help is so tremendous, what is the cost of L type and which bank to pay and is it after payment of the fee that the schedule interview will be set?

A single entry L costs around 230000 SLL. The Chinese embassy doesn't specify which bank you should choose to hand in your fee. Usually,you should pay the fee when you submit your application. And there is no requirement that interview is needed on the website of the Chinese embassy in your country.
