About:Huangshan Weather

I am planning going to HuangShan somewhere between July 30 and August 4, 2014. A few quests pls.

How many days would you recommend if I just want to climb the mountain and see a bit of the town?
Will hotel accommodation be difficult to find at that time?
From Hangzhou or Shanghai, is rail best or plane or bus?
I am an Australian travelling alone and with only a little Mandarin. Do I need a Chinese guide?

My name is Neil.

Three days are enough for covering the whole scenic area and the local sightseeing.

There are many hotels near there, so it will be easy for you to find a one at that time.

You’d better to get there by bus. You can take the bus at Hangzhou West Bus Station and Shanghai South Long-distance Bus Station to the scenic area directly.

Generally speaking, there are many sighboards both in Chinese and English, so you don't need a tour guide.
