Pingyao - Datong - Beijing

Hello,
I'm planning to travel from Pingyao to Beijing through DT.
I saw there is a night train from Pingyao to DT, do you think it is a good idea to take it ?
Do you have other suggestions ?

Then how to join Beijing from DT ? I saw there are buses but what is their schedule ? Do you advise me taking a night bus or an early morning one ?

Just for info, I don't speak chinese but I'm thinking about asking the hostals for booking trains/buses.

Thank you for your answer !

Yes, taking the night train is a good idea, for you can easily spend the long hours in sleeping.

You also can take the trains from DT to Beijing.

There are two bus stations having buses to Beijing. The schedule is as below.
DT Xinnan Bus Station
07:10, 08:00, 09:00, 10:10, 10:50, 11:50, 13:00, 14:20, 15:20, 16:30.
DT Bus Station
07:00, 08:00, 09:30, 10:20 12:00.
You can take the morning one so that you will not arrive too late.

If you want to book the train tickets, i know a good travel agency and I remember it's bookingtravelchinaguide.com. They can mail the tickets to your hotel directly.
