About:Getting to Yichang

Yangtze river one day trip

1. Can you suggest hotel near Yichang train station?

2. How far from train station to Yangtze port? Is there any public bus to port?

3. Can I see Yangtze scenery view and Three Gorge Dam one day trip by ship or cruise? Schedule in each day?

4. How much for touring by Yangtze cruise?

I will leave from YC to Wudanshan by train in the evening so worried a bit about time.

1. You may consider the Guomao Hotel, located at no. 1, Yunji Road and Shanzhaung Business Hotel, at No. 105, Dongshan Avenue. Both of them are within 250 meters from the train station.
2. It is 10km or a little farther from the Yangtze Port. Walk from the train station to Yiling Square bus stop to take bus no. 10 to Sanyoudong. Then you can walk around 650 meters to the port to catch Yangtze Cruise.
3. One day is too short to cover these scenery you mentioned. Usually, the Yangtze Cruises have upsteam ships and downstream ships. The former takes 5D4N and the latter takes 4D3N. There are many cruises in operation, but they seem not set off every day. For schdule, you can seach through this link:

Your time is so tight, so it is impossible to take the cruise. Anyway, consult a local travel agency to join a one day tour to only see the Dam and Three Gorges People Scenic Area.

Yes, there is, but time is not enough to cover the three gorges. U may only have time to see the Xiling Gorge and the Dam. For details, I suggest you consult a local travel agency. If you will stay in a hotel in YC, they may arrange such tours. Then U'd better consult them first.
