About:Taiwan Weather

what are the chances to bump into typhoon around mid of August in Taipei?

We plan to head there around 13/8-18/8. Would it get v serious at that point of time?

It is hard to predict whether typhoon will happen or not during your travel, but it would be during typhoon season, so just watch the latest weather forecast before leaving to prepare well. Anyway, umbrella or rainy gear is highly recommended to take along.
